At Unity Hospital, the therapy department is overflowing with baby bellies! Right now, there are 6 of us who are pregnant, 2 just returned from maternity leave, and 1 is still out on her maternity leave. Don't drink the water, ha ha!

Preschool
Henry started Preschool last week! As we're standing outside the school and I'm trying to get the "First Day of Preschool" photo, there were just too many "new friends" walking by to get him to pay any attention to me!
Northpoint Elementary School is right in our housing development. It's wonderful, it literally takes me 2 minutes to drive there - if I wasn't 36 weeks pregnant I'd be taking him there on my bike while the weather is still so nice. This is the school he'll be going to until 3rd grade. All the big kids in the neighborhood go there, and we've only heard good things about it.
Off he goes!
He did very well with the pick-up and drop-off for the first week (much better than I did). He gave me a huge wave and a "Bye Mommy" when I was done signing him in. Then he asked me, "Where did you go have coffee when I was at school?" when I came back to get him!

family time
We've had a busy few weekends with our families around here.
For Labor Day, we traveled to Perham for our new nephew, and my handsome little Godson, Gabriel Patrick Gillespie's baptism. He's a good little babe, that's for sure! Here's Henry just getting a little practice for the future :)
Katie and Matthias were visiting from Switzerland for a couple weeks. Those two, they're always so good to Henry - scavenger hunts, caramel roll & coffee dates, book reading, bath time with extra bubbles, fishing - boy, were they busy!
Stephanie, Chris, Riley, & Jack were visiting from the CA for a few days last weekend. They escaped the 120 degree heat for our 95 degree heat - what a relief, huh! Jack was cruising around, which was fun to see. Henry and Riley were wild and crazy, as always :)
We made a trip to Stillwater one morning to hit up Teddy Bear Park, a walk by the river to check out the ships, and lunch at Leo's, of course.
Grandma & Grandpa stayed home to watch the kids one afternoon (thank you very much) so we could go to the Twins game (the husbands were present as well) - oh the poor Twins are terrible but we still had fun. We celebrated a milestone birthday for Sonja.....29 big ones, that is!

34 weeks
I had my 34 week appointment today. Baby's heartrate was around 150. I'm measuring right on schedule. No real complaints (however, Phil may say otherwise, ha)!

Preschool orientation
Henry and I went to Preschool orientation today, where he got to check out his classroom and meet his teachers, Ms. Stacie and Ms. Sara, before he starts up next week going every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. He was sooooo busy today - writing his name, coloring with crayons and markers, playing with sand, trucks, magnets, and playdough, doing a scavenger hunt in the classroom, and meeting a couple new friends. He had a great time and is definitely looking forward to next week (apparently, without me), because at one point when we were there today, he told me, "Mommy, you should go and get coffee and then come back to take me home later!"

MN State Fair
Last Wednesday, we lucked out and picked the "coolest" day/morning of the week to go out to the State Fair - we had an hour of clouds right away and it probably only got up to 95 degrees that day (my swollen feet were very happy)!
We hit up the usual suspects - The Little Farm Hands, tractors/mowers/any type of machine, The Miracle of Birth Center, a few rides, the Lego center, and then we finished the morning with a few treats, of course.
First up, The Little Farm Hands exhibit - Henry had to drive a tractor.....
.....pick up some corn to feed the chickens and sheep, grab an egg.....
.....pick an apple, milk a cow, and plant some seeds - whew, busy morning! After all his hard work, they gave him his "pay" - his choices were a juice box, a stuffed animal, or some ice cream. Ice cream it was!
Henry picked 2 rides - the cars and the tractors. He said his car went the fastest of all of them and his tractor had the loudest horn!
My go-to fair food - the cheese curds and Sweet Martha's cookies. Delicious as always, they certainly didn't disappoint!
Henry's Kettle Korn shop wasn't open yet when we walked by, but I'm sure that Henry makes a mean kettle korn :)
