20 weeks

The halfway point has arrived, 20 weeks and 2 days.  I'm not nauseous or sick anymore, thank God!  One of my favorites, coffee, still doesn't always agree with me as much as I love it when I'm not with child, but that's ok I guess, I'll deal with it.

So, the ultrasound was today, 1 healthy baby is growing in there!  These pictures are just crazy, the details they can get now are amazing!    They measure the head, abdomen, and femur bone, and between all those measurements they believe the baby is 12 ounces right now.  Heartbeat was at 146.

Everything looked good, no issues, which is always good.  We'll take it!  Only a mother can look at these ultrasound pictures and say, "Oh, how beautiful!"  Look at that adorable little thumb-sucker.

19 weeks

19 weeks and 2 days.  Last night as I'm watching the Dancing With the Stars finale, this baby was going crazy in my tummy for the first time.  I've been wondering when I'm going to start feeling movement?  He/She must have been loving this season as much as I was :)

I'll tell myself that it was either that or the delicious batch of no-bake cookies that Henry made for us that day.   Pretty sure I took down my fair share of them!  You're welcome for the 2 cups of sugar that the recipe called for, little baby in there!

back to NoDak

While our house was getting painted here, Henry and I got out of town for a few days to avoid the fumes.  We spent a couple days in Jamestown and day in Bismarck, too.  In Bismarck, Auntie Jackie was the hostess with the mostess during the day, as always, spoiling Henry rotten, and Auntie Jo had us all over for a great dinner that evening!

Oh Henry and that silly Great Grandma!  It really is good to see her still getting around as well as she is.  She looks darn good for being in her 90s!

Blue-juice-cheers with the big boys!  Henry played soccer, aka chased Erik and Anthony around the yard for quite a while that afternoon, couldn't get enough of those two :)

In Jamestown, we made the "scenic" rounds again.  On our way into town, Henry saw quite a few cows and asked Papa when we got to their house, "Papa, your friends have any cows to go see?"  He had one thing on the brain, and that was cows for some reason.  Well, Papa managed to figure out that there was a cow sale going on (not sure what a cow sale is actually called), so Henry got to see his cows!
Then we went up to Fort Seward, pretty sure I haven't been to Fort Seward since a field trip in grade school.  Here Henry's just checking out the wrong end of cannon.

Papa spotted their house across town.

Aaahhh, and a good trip ends with a good nap on the way home :)

still on the go

I do love going to the downtown Minneapolis library when we have a lunch date scheduled with Phil.  There's just so much to do there and the place is HUGE!
How studious does he look here (and old too)!

Then, onto Chipotle for lunch - I'm pretty sure Henry took down the whole entire side of guac (aka blockamole according to him).

Funny story - This is what Henry's donut looked like on Mother's Day morning when he said, "Mommy, I don't like this one anymore.  I want to trade with you because I REALLY like sprinkles!"  Gee, Happy Mother's Day to me - enjoy your half eaten donut with no frosting, mmmmm :)

outings

Oh, the fun places we've been hitting up lately!  Once again, I'm far behind on my blog posts, however I do have (multiple) excuses - (a) we were getting the inside of our house painted, therefore, (b) not staying here, and (c) Henry and I decided to take a road trip back to NoDak for a few days.  So, I'm trying to get caught up now!

We haven't been to the Wild Rumpus in ages, so we met Lisa & (baby) Owen for a coffee one morning, then headed over for some stories, animal lovin', and dancing!
Can the little purple door inside the big door be any cuter?!

Nice to meet you, kitty.  Henry was trying to get the cat to "shake" like Lucy does at home.  How do these animals put up with little toddlers putting their hands all over them, bless their hearts.

I'm pretty sure they were "shake, shake, shakin' their sillies out" here :)

On a side note, I had my 16 week doctors appointment a couple weeks ago, everything looked good, heartbeat was at 142.  Up next, the ultrasound in 2 weeks.

May Day

It was a chilly and snowy May Day this year, but Henry managed to decorate and fill a few May Day bags with his favorite treats for his neighbor friends.  He sure loved the idea of knocking-and-running, but when it came down to it, he much preferred to hand them the May Day bag first and then run away!
